At ChIME, our Core Values are more than guiding words, they are living practices. They shape how we show up in community, how we listen, how we lead, and how we serve. Rooted in interconnection, humility, and a commitment to sacred presence, these values help us navigate the complexity of spiritual leadership with clarity, compassion, and courage.

Core Values

We began in what is now known as Portland, Maine on the homeland of the Wabanaki, the people of the dawnland. We honor and give thanks to the Indigenous people who came before us and who live among us today, and we acknowledge the lands and waters that sustain us all. As we move to Yarmouth in July 2025, we remain committed to honoring this sacred relationship and recognizing the ongoing harm of colonialism.

Interfaith values the kaleidoscope of religious, spiritual, and cultural traditions that have sustained our communities for centuries. By building bridges of interreligious and interspiritual appreciation, dialogue, and practice, ChIME contributes to a world in which all beings may express their true nature.
