Recent research indicates that New Englanders are among the “least churched” in the nation, with around three out of four having no affiliation with a local mosque, synagogue, sangha, or church. Regardless of their spiritual beliefs, individuals without religious affiliations often seek the support of an Interfaith chaplain during times of crisis, celebration, or reflection. This growing need is met by ChIME graduates.

ChIME graduates, also known as Interfaith Officiants or Celebrants, are trained to embrace inter-spirituality, honor diverse faith traditions, and help those without religious affiliations explore their own beliefs for significant life events. Since 2002, ChIME has educated and ordained 186 Interfaith Ministers who serve in Maine, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, and beyond.
