Rev. Kate Albert Dawn, B.S., M.S. is by training a horticulturist and botanist and by ordination an interfaith chaplain. Science and spirituality are reported to be at odds, yet Kate was given a gift of seeing the marriage of botany and spirituality. She recalls her first mystical experience while wearing her red corduroy jacket while standing under a sycamore tree; and then she caught the science bug in fourth grade. Her excitement is heightened when sharing her passion of both disciplines. No matter where she lives, she keeps her feet firmly planted in the soil, her heart flitting from flower to flower, and her head floating in the tree canopy, while surrounded by the atmosphere of spirituality.
