By Rev. Aria Tuki
When the early morning ache
of grief, loss, and
loneliness swells and
threatens to devour hope,
open the window.
Drink the cup of beauty
and wildness offered
on the cool, fresh breeze, with
the chorus of feathered ones
welcoming the new day.
Let the music of sweet birdsong
soothe your frayed spirit,
and be a balm for your heart.
Their morning prayer
can save you too.
